PrideFest protest article lacks two sides, shows bias

June 24 — The article in the June 24, 2010 edition of The Metropolitan entitle “Churches Split on PrideFest parade” was a disdain to journalistic integrity and unfairly portrayed the issue of religion in the gay community. The title of the article indicates that two opposing points of view will be given from figures in churches.

April 07 — Jef Otte's recent satire article, "Enjoy Obamacare if you like payin for illegal Mexicans," published in the April Fools’ edition of the UCD Advocate, has drawn up a firestorm from Muslim, Chicano and Mexican students, as well as other minorities and anti-racists, for its anti-Mexican and anti-Muslim message. And rightly so.
