April 16 — “Mariela in the Desert” is a must see for anyone who has ever given up their dreams for their family. This is hands down the most compelling play of the season at The Denver Center for the Performing Arts. Playwright Karen Zacarías wrote the play about families so accurately, it’s applicable to every culture. Although it focuses on a Mexican family, it certainly speaks to anyone of any nationality.
